2020 Tokyo Olympics fan zone

Today my class, room 9 and room 8 went to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics fan zone. We went on the bus at 9:00 in the morning.

In the bus me and my friends telling jokes the each other. When we arrived  I was surprised at how big it was. Inside were two cars, my friend asked how they got the cars in and I just laughed.

We sat down on fake grass in front of a stage. there were two people up there, 1 was named Debbie Tanner. She was in the Olympics and won 20 golden medals. Another school was there with us.

Kids got to ask questions and Debbie answered them. After a while, Haypark went to the fun zone, the games there were ones held at the Olympics. I really liked the Kicking one. It was very fun and made me and my friend laugh. After 20 minutes we swapped around with the other school. We got split into groups and played each game. 

The games were so fun they were the swimming one and then after that we played the jumping one and then the last one was the ball one my favorite one was the swimming one.

  

Wonder project - week 5 aerodynamics pt 2

On 30th of may the class and I were working on aerodynamics first we needed to find the the center of math what we did for that we tied a piece of string around the rockets, and then we had to try and put the string in the right place so that when we lifted the rocket it would balance when we found the right place we had  mark it, after that we had to trace our rockets on to some cardboard when we finished tracing the rockets we had to cut it out, then we had to get a ruler, and with that ruler we had to try balance the cardboard on the ruler when we finally got the cardboard  to balance on the ruler we were finished.

This week for the wonder project we looked at our first test launch. If your are wondering what the wonder project is, it is a water rocket project. The mission ambassador which was Colm took us to Keith hay park, and that is were we did the test launch. I will show you some photos and videos that my teacher took at Keith hay park.

Reflection: Film Festival
How did you feel about the film making process and why? I was excited and confident. I was confident because I did it last year, and I was excited because last year when I did it was really fun. 


What did you enjoy? I enjoyed editing because liked adding the sounds 
What did you learn? I learnt how to detach the audio  
What was challenging? To be able to time the scenes
If you could go back in time to the beginning of the term, what would you do differently?Change the script a little

 
What advice would you give to someone creating a film next year? Not to put too much songs

Stress balls

                                        Today me and my class made stress balls out of rice. Here is a photo

                                                        and this is how to make one

                                                  1.get 3 balloons 

                                                 2.blow 1 balloon half way and put it over a bole with rice in it

                                                 3.tip the bole over and get all the rice into the balloon

                                                 4.get a norther balloon and cut the neck off and rape it over the other                                                               balloon and do the same thing to the other balloon

  

 

Sea wall

Time seemed to be standing still

Frost covered the top of the submarine like icing on a cake.

Something strange had been brewing under the water for days.

Something terrible. Something powerful.

With an almighty roar, like a helicopter taking off,

the sea all around the vessel began to rise up.

Up and up and up it rose, forming menacing walls of darkness all around him.

 The Captain felt powerless.

His fate, and the fate of his crew, lay in the hands of the mighty ocean.

All he could do was watch. And wait.

As the ocean waves get tola and tola! his crew was scared they

were so scared because the waves came crashing! in the boat was

feeling with water the waves were so tole that one enormous wave

came crashing on the boat and the boat was rower

for life they were so sad and scared they didn't no what to do.

The boat broke in half or late they were found on sure they were toking

to the hospital they survived. They got to see their family again.

What did I do for my Mum on Mothers day?

Yesterday was Mothers day and I made her a card in the shape of a teddy bear holding a heart. Inside the heart I told her to have a good day at work. During the week, I helped my Dad, brother and sister build a huge shelf for my Mums shed which was her present for Mothers day. I wanted to paint my Mums nails for mothers day but she had to go to work so I painted my sisters nails and she painted mine.

What am I doing during lock-down?

 During lock-down, my siblings and I have been playing a lot of video games. On my brothers ps3 & ps4. On his ps3, I have been versing everyone at Teken 5, (I call it chicken) but no one seems to be able to beat me. I am a champion at chicken. On his ps4, I watch my brother and sister play fortnite, sometimes I build for them or collect loot (equipment). Yesterday my brother brought a new game. I don't know what the name is but it's a cool driving game.

Mum has started baking again and cooking many different foods for us. She's made a lot of yummy cultured food from our Samoan side. She has made, pangi-popo, pork buns and keke-saiga. She has also made delicious scones. This morning she is making us home made dumplings and shepherds pie! And tomorrow, we are all going to make sushi together. Dad always tries to help but ends up annoying Mum. Last week Dad even made home made lakdi mithai, which is a Fijian sweet.

My Dogs have been very excited to see me more. But today I saw my fish all fighting when I fed them breakfast.

I have also been watching a lot of tik toks and learning the cool dances too.
